Claude Thibault
You may be familiar with sortiesjazznights.com. The man behind this 22-year-old magazine, Claude Thibault, is also a musician, and you'll hear him sing, play guitar, and play percussion. He's shared the stage with several Quebec artists, in jam sessions and at sortiesjazznights.com's annual party, THE gathering place for Quebec's jazz scene.
Claude « Chap » Chapleau
Multi-instrumentalist and composer Claude "Chap" Chapleau has accompanied several Quebec artists such as Paul Piché, Richard Séguin, Pagliaro, Edith Butler, and many others. A member of the jazz-rock group Zak from 1972 to 1980, he also composed the music for Micheline Lanctôt's films Suzie and Le Piège d'Issoudun. Guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, and more, in 2022 he released the album 501 Lounge Street, a solo project offering original acid-jazz music.
Samuel Bonnet - guitare
With a background in classical and jazz, guitarist Samuel Bonnet's music lies at the crossroads of several musical worlds, somewhere between the natural resonance of the nylon strings of the classical guitar and jazz improvisation. Through his music, he tells us his intimate and personal story in constant dialogue with his plural roots. With his trio, he recently released Live! In Harmony!, his 5th album as a leader.
Orlando Cabrera - percussions
A native of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, percussionist Orlando Cabrera specializes in Latin music. He has been playing several musical genres since the age of 9, including South American folklore, salsa, samba, and jazz. With over 25 recordings to his credit, he has collaborated with the renowned Latin American group Sotavento, jazz vocalist Janet Planet, the gypsy band Harmonious Wail, and several Latin American songwriters such as Guillermo Anderson (Honduras), Romulo Castro (Panama), and Pedro Villagra (Chile). He currently plays with Off Brasil, a Montreal band.
